What’s Happening in June?
Apart from eating raisin toast and wearing many layers of clothing to try and keep warm, I will be emerging from my cave a number of times this month.
On Sunday, June 10th, I will be talking on the radio about my Biblioburbia blog and resulting exhibition and zine, as well as city blogging projects in general, on Canvas on Fbi. I’ll be on around 10:30.
On Tuesday, June 12th, I will be talking more about Biblioburbia at the State Library of NSW, from 6-7pm. More details on these two events are in the previous post, so I won’t rattle on any further about them here.
Our house is currently littered with contraptions, as later that week Simon is having an exhibition at 55 Sydenham Rd, which opens on Friday June 15th, 6-8pm. It’s called Inventions in Other Dimensions, and I promise you will be transported!
Also highly recommended is the following exhibition, “Careers in Retail”, which opens on the 6th July… come and visit the industrial wonderland of Sydenham, where the planes shriek over and factories make donuts.
And finally, on Sunday June 24th I might travel down to Wollongong to have a stall at the amaZINE Sunday zine fair, which is on from 11am-3pm, (depending on raisin toast consumption and general busy-ness). More details here.
