I think you guys make it look better than the original (although the white cat I would still include).
The Hockney painting came fifth on the BBC’s Greatest Painting in Britain vote: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/today/vote/greatestpainting/winner.shtml The winning painting is not what I would have chosen, but is a very English choice!
I’m quite fond of Turner. Whenever I’m in London I make a point of seeing that painting.
